Privacy Policy

Effective October 14, 2026

studio liminal is a small studio, and we collect very little about the people who visit this site. This page explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. “We” means Studio Liminal LLC (“studio liminal”); “the site” means studioliminal.org.

What we collect

What you send us. When you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, organization if you give one, and whatever you write in your message.

What your browser shares. Like most websites, the site records basic technical information when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, the site that referred you, and the approximate location your IP address suggests. Our website platform, Squarespace, collects this to run the site and to give us visitor statistics.

We do not run advertising, sell anything through the site, or ask for payment or sensitive personal information.

How we use it

  • To reply to your message and, if we work together, to plan and carry out that work.

  • To understand, in aggregate, how people find and use the site, so we can improve it.

  • To keep the site secure and working.

  • To meet legal or accounting obligations.

We do not add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.

Cookies

The site uses cookies that Squarespace needs to run it, and analytics cookies that tell us how the site is used. When you first visit, a banner lets you accept or decline the analytics cookies. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent personal information. We share it only with the services that help us run the studio, and only as far as they need it:

  • Squarespace, which hosts the site, processes the contact form and provides visitor statistics.

  • Our email provider, which stores the messages we send and receive.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

How long we keep it

We keep messages and contact details for as long as we are in conversation or working together, and for a reasonable period afterward for our records. Squarespace keeps visitor statistics according to its own retention settings. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Write to hello@studioliminal.org and we will respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, including California, the European Union and the United Kingdom, you may have further rights under local law, such as objecting to certain uses or complaining to a data protection authority. We will honor those rights.

Visitors outside the United States

The site is hosted in the United States. If you contact us from another country, your information will be transferred to and stored in the United States.

Children

The site is meant for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, please tell us and we will delete it.

Links to other sites

The site links to Instagram, LinkedIn and other websites. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave our site.

Security

We use reputable services and reasonable safeguards to protect what you send us. No method of sending or storing information online is completely secure.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will post the new version here with a new effective date.
